标题: 关于填写“Tax file number declaration”的问题
今天填写“Tax file number declaration”时，发现第十条“Do you want to claim a zone, overseas forces, dependent spouse or special tax offset by reducing the amount withheld from payments made to you?"

我的情况是这样：夫妻双方都是PR，我现在有工作，年薪三万左右，老婆在上学，没工作，所以也就没收入了，不知道她的情况算不算是这个第十条上的"dependent spouse"。我该填“YES”还是“NO”呢？

The 2011-12 Federal Budget announced that the government will phase out the tax offset for dependent spouses aged less than 40 (from July 1, 2011). This reform will mean that from July 1, 2011 taxpayers with a dependent spouse born on or after July 1, 1971 will no longer be eligible for the dependent spouse tax offset. This means the offset will be gradually phased out as the population ages.

谢谢，可如果我已经填了YES了，怎么办啊？我老婆没有过四十，税务部门会不会调查呀？
